The Victory Museum became the center of celebrations in honor of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory, where generations of defenders of the Fatherland met.

On the eve of the Great Holiday-the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War-Deputy Chairman of the Government Alexander Novak took part in commemorative events in the Victory Museum. Together with war veterans, participants in a special military operation and honored employees of the fuel and energy complex (fuel and energy complex), he laid flowers to the eternal fire memorial, paying tribute to the feat of the Soviet people.

“Victory Day is a symbol of the indestructible spirit of our people, its courage and unity in the face of tests. Today, like 80 years ago, we feel the same pride in the generation of winners and the same responsibility for the future of Russia, ”said Alexander Novak.

During the meeting with veterans, the Deputy Prime Minister especially noted the role of power engineers during the war years.

“Without reliable work of the fuel and energy complex, there would be no tanks, no planes, no victory. In the rear and at the front, energy did everything possible and impossible for the country to survive, ”said Alexander Novak.

He recalled that during the war, oil industry workers, miners and energy worked for days and provided fuel with military equipment and factories. Today their heirs continue traditions: they restore the energy infrastructure of new regions and support the economy in modern challenges.

The celebrations continued with a large -scale concert “Energy of the Great Victory.” On the stage, the legendary songs of the war years were performed by the stars of pop, theater and cinema.

“For all of us, Victory Day is the most important holiday. We will always remember the immortal feat of our ancestors, convey to our children and future generations a bright memory of veterans and those who fell on the battlefield, ”said Alexander Novak.

80 years later, the lessons of the Great Patriotic War are more relevant than ever. “Today, the case of veterans of the Great Patriotic War is adequately continued by descendants. Participants in a special military operation protect their homeland, the future of our country just as our grandfathers did. The power of Russia is in the unity of the people, in the continuity of generations and in the ability to respond to any challenges, ”said Alexander Novak.

The event became not only a tribute of history, but also a reminder: the energy was and remains the “front -line industry” – the basis of the country’s security and sovereignty.
