Today we are launching the labor movement, and the entire range of work on the overhaul of the M-9 highway “Baltic“ in the Moscow and Tver regions will be completed in November of this year, ”said Roman Novikov, head of the Federal Road Agency.

In the Tver region, the main front of the work came to the section of KM 158-km 229. In particular, on the segment from the 214th to the 220th km in full, the roadway was expanded to four lanes. The water supply pipes are mounted, treatment facilities were installed, road marking was applied, a dividing parapet fencing was made. Currently, experts are setting road signs. Similar works were carried out on the segment of KM 194 – km 204, the application of a new marking continues there.

The neighboring section was expanded to four lanes-from the 180th to the 194th km, where there is another sign monument, symbolizing the victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War,-a monument to the legendary BM-13 combat vehicle-“Katyusha” (187th km of the M-9 highway). In the Moscow region, road infrastructure on the Baltic highway is also actively modernized. From two to four lanes, during a major overhaul, a segment of about 40 km (from 118th to 158th km) was expanded. Currently, road workers are completing a road clothing device, marking. To increase the level of safety, the metal barrier fence is mounted, which will eliminate the departure of cars into the oncoming lane. In addition, it is planned to install local lighting near pedestrian crossings, at the adjoins and intersections with local roads.
