Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev held a working meeting with the governor of the Kherson region Vladimir Saldo. The themes of the meeting were the development of agro -industrial and fisheries in the region and the issues of ecology.

The Deputy Prime Minister and Governor discussed the situation in agriculture. The theme of restoration of gardens in the region, in particular fruit and berry, was raised. The issue of reconstruction of the irrigation system was also raised. This year, six projects were presented for the competitive selection in the field of reclamation from the Kherson region.

Dmitry Patrushev drew attention to the importance of high -quality spring field work in the Kherson region. The region should control the execution of the structure of sowing areas, as well as the provision of farmers with financial resources and production means-seeds, mineral fertilizers, fuels and lubricants, agricultural equipment.

The meeting also discussed the development of the regional fisheries complex. The need not only to increase the volume of catching aquatic biological resources in the region, but also to expand the assortment, increase production with high added value. This will create highly effective production and new jobs.

In addition, Dmitry Patrushev and Vladimir Saldo discussed the results of the implementation of the Ecology National Project and the readiness of the Kherson region for the events of the new national project “Environmental well -being”. The region takes part in four federal projects: “Economics of a closed cycle”, “Water of Russia”, “Preservation of forests” and “General cleaning”. Until 2030, more than 2 billion rubles were planned for these projects for these projects.
