Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev held an Installation meeting of incident No. 62, dedicated to the development of the Siberian Federal District. The choice of this format of interagency interaction was initiated by the Deputy Prime Minister as the curator of the district and supported by the Prime Minister. The incident will aggravate the measures of all regional development programs and get the maximum synergetic effect of their implementation.

“The Siberian Federal District has strategic significance for further strengthening the industrial potential of Russia. Huge reserves of natural resources are concentrated here, including precious metals, copper, nickel, coal, oil, gas. In addition, the largest capacities in Russia in the field of hydropower in Russia operate. In Siberia, a base was also formed to train qualified specialists – leading educational and scientific centers work to strengthen personnel potential, ”said Dmitry Patrushev.

As part of the incident, federal and regional authorities, state corporations and business, as well as representatives of the scientific community, will have to determine the points of economic growth of the constituent entities of the district and create conditions for their implementation.

At the installation meeting, the course of the implementation of the Siberian Development Strategy was considered, which affects areas such as rare earth and precious metals, forest complex, aluminum processing, tourism, agriculture and processing, oil and gas and coal industries. According to the results of the meeting, the Ministry of Economic Development will ensure an accelerated refinement of the plan for the implementation of the Siberian Development Strategy.

Dmitry Patrushev during the incident noted that the explored reserves of rare -earth metals in Siberia make up 18% of all -Russian, and the bowels of the district contain significant volumes of rare metals. The Deputy Prime Minister added that for the development of deep processing of rare-earth metals, the question of creating the corresponding cluster in the Siberian district is currently being worked out. In the future, this will allow Russia to ensure independence from imports of appropriate products and reach a new technological level.

According to the results of the meeting, Dmitry Patrushev instructed to form an expert group, which will include representatives of interested federal departments, the analytical center under the government, regions, as well as the business community, the Russian Academy of Sciences, and industry scientific and educational institutions. The group will determine the long -term need for the economy for rare and rare -earth metals and will work out a list of products, the production of which can be organized in Siberia.

Incident No. 62 “Implementation of the Development of the Siberian Federal District” was created on the initiative of the Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev for effective interagency interaction aimed at the integrated development of Siberia. In particular, the Republics of Altai, Tuva and Khakassia, Altai and Krasnoyarsk Territory, Irkutsk, Kemerovo, Novosibirsk, Omsk and Tomsk regions.

When working in the format of the incident, a special project management system is used, which is deployed on the basis of the coordination center of the government. It allows you to quickly coordinate the actions of the participants and monitor the implementation of projects in real time.
