In the Military Innovation Technopolis (VIT), ERA was a strategic session under the leadership of the First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov.

The event was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko, Deputy Minister of Defense Alexei Krivoruchko, representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Construction, members of the Board of Military-Industrial Commission, heads of military administration, and representatives of the enterprises of the defense industry and the People’s OPC.

During the meetings, issues of the influence of artificial intelligence on improving the combat efficiency of units in the war zone and building combat capabilities of weapons, equipment, and control systems were considered.

“The increasing role of artificial intelligence technologies, processing large data and cloud computing is aware of all leading states of the world, including their development among their strategic priorities. In fact, we can talk about the next race of technological competition, comparable to the arms race and space development programs. Russia as a whole is in the fairway of global trends. Russian companies are developing technological products, including large language models, computer vision, machine learning based on neural networks. Most existing and planned developments have dual use. Our task is to use them in solving applied military problems, ”said Denis Manturov.

Artificial intelligence is used to automatically process and analyze intelligence data, is able to improve the information support of military operations, increase the possibility of forecasting threats and the development of conflicts. Digital technologies are the basis for the massive introduction of robotic complexes and the ears of the unmanned aerial vehicles.

“Artificial intelligence is that breakthrough and fast technology that is important for both civilian and military needs. In the coming years, we will increase the volume of financing of research in the field of AI. We plan to accumulate these resources as part of a single program of research in the field of AI. It is planned to quit 5% of the state budget for financing scientific research in the field of AI and 15% of the state budget-to finance research in other fields, but with the mandatory use of II tools. The consolidation of these resources in the field of AI and the training of specialists are extremely important for the achievement of technological sovereignty and other goals set by the President of Russia, ”said Dmitry Chernyshenko.

“It is also important to use the capabilities of A-Analytics for a deep analysis of the conflict in Ukraine and the training of domestic intellectual systems,” Denis Manturov emphasized.

Participants in the session discussed the formation of information and computing systems of the trusted use of elements of artificial intelligence military purpose, as well as the experience of transition to a new generation of drones on neuroprocessors.

For participants in the strategic session, an exhibition of new samples and technologies developed by residents of innovative scientific and technological centers and innovative development funds developed by residents of the Russian Federation was deployed. A number of examples using the technology of AI were selected by the Main Directorate of Innovation Development of the Russian Ministry of Defense, together with the Popular Front for the use of a special military operation in the zone.

In particular, the control modules were presented for receiving video images, analysis, capture and auto -care of targets, semi -autonomous underwater robotics complexes (RTK) for intelligence, technical control of underwater objects, delivery and manipulations with cargoes in difficult underwater conditions, unified remotes of simultaneous management of the RTK group (several smells, ground -based RTK or UAV ROM).

Also, manufacturers presented universal control units of field controllers based on technical vision. In particular, in the conditions of a complex electronic environment, these devices retain the full functionality of video analytics and allow you to hit the target when loss of drone control or return to the base on their own.

In addition, participants in the strategic session examined unmanned aviation systems for intercepting air goals. Artificial intelligence interceptors control systems allow in automatic mode to detect and capture goals for their further neutralization with a net, special shot or kinetic damage.
