Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak made a working trip to the Krasnodar Territory. He held a working meeting with the Governor of the Krasnodar Territory by Veniamin Kondratiev. The parties discussed the course of socio-economic development of the region, as well as measures to increase the reliability of the energy complex and FEC facilities. The issue of building new energy and modernization of economic growth and increase in energy consumption was affected.

The Deputy Prime Minister examined the oil products production plant at the Afip oil refinery after the enterprise’s modernization. He took part in the solemn ceremony of launching objects of the hydrocracking complex of vacuum gas in the Afip Oil Refinery. The event was also attended by the chairman of the board of Sberbank PJSC German Gref and the president of the Safmar group of Safmar “Safmar” Mikhail Gutseriev.

Currently, the production capacity of the Afipsky Oil Refinery LLC is 9.1 million tons per year. The plant produces light oil products: gasoline and diesel fuel, which is supplied to the domestic market and export. More than 2.7 thousand people work at the enterprise.

A complex of hydrocracking vacuum gas with a capacity of 3 million tons per year is a modern high -tech project that integrates advanced oil refining technologies, including largely domestic production. The complex includes the installation of a hydrocracking of vacuum gas, an installation of hydrogen production, the installation of gasoline stabilization, the installation of the production of elementary sulfur, as well as the objects of the general farm. As part of modernization, a modern complex of treatment facilities with complete mechanical, chemical and biological water treatment appeared at the plant. The purified waters will return to production for the new work cycle.

“The modernization of the Afipsky refinery was conducted with the active support of the Government of the Russian Federation. In 2019, an agreement on modernization was signed, and in 2021 an investment agreement with the Ministry of Energy of Russia on the creation of a complex for deep oil refining at the plant. The main capacities of the enterprise were significantly updated and increased. As a result, the plant first in the Krasnodar Territory and the North Caucasus will begin to produce diesel fuel of the 5th ecological class in domestic and foreign markets. Including the company will provide nearby regions of the necessary products for agriculture, ”said Alexander Novak. The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that the enterprise is of important socio-economic importance for the region, is one of the largest taxpayers in the Krasnodar Territory, including local budgets. Modernization will increase tax deductions of all levels and create about 700 new modern jobs.

Starting objects of a hydrocracking complex of vacuum gasolis will allow the Afipsky refinery to ensure the growth of all operating and economic indicators. The depth of oil refining will reach 93%, and the release of light petroleum products – 82%. The total investment in the project exceeded 217 billion rubles.
