The leader of the opposition Israeli “Democrats” party, Yair Golan, vowed today, Saturday, to overthrow the government of Benjamin Netanyahu, while an Israeli media quoted the leader of the opposition “Israel Our Home” party, Avigdor Lieberman, to announce his candidacy for the presidency of the government.
“We will drop the government of failure and evaluate a courageous and democratic security leadership,” Golan said, accusing Netanyahu of destroying the “special relationship” with the United States, saying that “Israel is global isolated and applies the right’s vision.”
The leader of the “Democrats” party added that the Houthis’ preoccupation in Yemen “distracts from the largest security failure of the government.”
Golan accused “the Netanyahu government and the Minister of Finance of Salail Smotrich of sending the army to the Gaza swamp with political motives and delusions,” saying that the government is fighting in Gaza without real operational goals, vision or achievements.
For its part, the 12th channel quoted the leader of the “Israel Our Home” opposition party in Israel, Avigdor Lieberman, as saying, “I am running for the prime minister and we are running on our own and we welcome those who want to join.”
Lieberman’s platforms were also quoted as saying that “whoever fails to defeat Hamas within a year and 8 months, will not defeat it even in 17 years to come.”

On Friday, Lieberman expressed his shock on the ability of the Houthi group to continue to bomb Tel Aviv, while opposition leader Yair Lubid called on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to stop cheese and procrastination, and urged him to expand attacks on Yemen.
The Israeli accusations of the Netanyahu government are escalating of the failure to manage the war, in light of the renewed Israeli demonstrations, especially from the families of the prisoners, to pressure the government to end the war and restore the detainees in Gaza.
Since October 7, 2023, Israel has continued a genocide war in Gaza, which left 52,810 martyrs, in addition to 119,473 injured people, amid a worsening famine that camping over the besieged sector.
