Mawazine festival celebrates its twentieth session in the presence of a distinguished Arab and international art art

The activities of the 20th session of the “Mawazine- Rhythms of the World” festival, which takes place between 19 and 28 June, were launched in the Moroccan capital, Rabat, with a dazzling atmosphere and a large public presence, and with the participation of an elite group of the most prominent Arab and international singing stars.

The Mohammed V Theater hosted shows of prominent artists, including the American star Will Smith and the Iraqi artist Kazem El -Saher, while the festival’s activities are concluded with two singing evenings, one of which is the Lebanese singer Magda Al -Roumi and the other Egyptian artist Sherine Abdel Wahab, along with various other art shows.

Solidarity with Gaza

Egyptian singer Carmen Suleiman expressed her happiness to participate in the opening of a technical festival, during a press conference held on the sidelines of the ceremony, where she confirmed her full solidarity with the Palestinian people, saying, “We are all suffering to what is happening in Gaza, and we hope the crisis will end soon.”

During her concert, which was held at the Mohamed V Theater, Carmen performed a group of Moroccan songs, noting that she chose these songs out of respect for the Moroccan audience, and that she plans to present new works in the Moroccan dialect during the coming period.

The Souissi Theater in the Moroccan capital, Rabat, witnessed a mass audience during the ceremony, which was revived by the American artist Will Smith, in his first participation in the “Mawazine- Rhythms of the World” festival.

Smith opened his presentation with his famous song, “Gettin ‘Jiggy Wit It”, to continue performing a group of his most prominent works, amid a great interaction from the audience that accompanied him with singing and dance.

The American star drew attention with a traditional Moroccan look, as he wore a caftan designed by Fatima Al -Zahra Al -Filali Al -Idrisi, who chose him from among the 5 designs presented to him.

The caftan was characterized by embroidery inspired by Moroccan Zlij inscriptions, which gave its appearance an artistic touch that reflects the depth of the cultural identity of Morocco and its heritage spirit.

In addition to the participation of the American actor and singer, the 20th session of the balance of a global presence with the participation of “50 cents” (50Cent), Lille Bibi, Becki G, DJ Lost Frequinsz, the Korean Esba team and the de la Sol team.

Arab presence

The Mawazine Festival witnessed a remarkable presence of Arab singing stars, as a number of artists starred on various theaters.

The Iraqi artist Kazem El -Saher performed his expected concert at the Mohammed V Theater, while the Lebanese Miriam Fares presented her concert at Al -Nahda Theater.

From Egypt, Mohamed Hamaki and Tamer Ashour participated in his first participation, along with Ruby, which added a distinguished presence.

Wael Jassar presented his concert on the Al -Nahda theater with famous songs, including “The Strange People” and “Bathshini”, expressing at the press conference his concern about the decline in artistic taste, calling for an art that carries value.

Also, Ragheb Alama performed a mass concert, and Nancy Ajram and Ziyad Burji also participated in a heavy presence.

As for Morocco, the rap star seven starred on the Sala platform, alongside Salim Kravata, and Hamza Al -Sunhaji – who sang Aisha in honor of his father, Saeed Al -Sunhaji -, Adel Al -Madkouri and Hajib, presented popular shows that met with wide interaction.

Holgram “Halim”

At the Mohamed V Theater in Rabat, a Holgram technology was held by the late Egyptian artist Abdel Halim Hafez despite the controversy that was raised after announcing it, and his family objected to his stay without coordination with it.

The ceremony was opened with the song “Water, Green and the Good Face”, which Abdel Halim had performed specifically for the late King Hassan II, then a group of his most famous songs continued, among them “The first time you love my heart”, “Blash Atab”, “Asmar Ya Asmrani”, “Jabbar”, “Batlumouni Les”, “Jana Al Hawa”, and “

Despite the success of the ceremony in the public, the family of Abdel Halim Hafez announced its intention to prosecute the management of the Mawazine Festival to hold the ceremony without its approval, while the administration confirmed that the agreement was made with the producer Mohsen Jaber, who has exclusive rights.

She also made it clear that the show relied on artistic embodiment without using original images or clips, which does not require legally approval of the heirs.

The conclusion of an Egyptian Lebanese

The activities of the 20th session of “Mawazine- Rhythms of the World” will conclude the Lebanese artist Magda Al-Roumi with a big artistic ceremony next Saturday evening at the National Theater Mohamed V in Rabat, and on the same day the Egyptian artist Sherine Abdel Wahab will perform a concert on the Al-Nahda platform led by Maestro Medhat Khamis.

Sherine’s participation at the end of the course is a station in her return path to the artistic scene after a period of delay and absence.
