The leader of the opposition “Israel Our Home” party, Avigdor Lieberman, warned of the existence of a “boiling state” in Israeli society and that it should not reach the point of “political assassination”.
Lieberman spoke to the local “103 FM” radio, on Monday, about what he described as “a case of rags on social media.”
“The speech is violent, and everything we saw in the past year is concerned, and it should not rise to the level of political assassination. I hope that we all learn lessons from the past, so I am more optimistic.”
On Sunday, opposition leader Yair Lapid and head of the “Democrats” party, Yair Golan, warned of “political assassinations”, and accused Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of inciting violence.
“What is certain is that anyone who follows the speech in the media and on networks does not need any intelligence materials. We are at the boiling point, and we must all calm down,” Lieberman added.
Lieberman criticized Netanyahu, saying: “The Prime Minister of October 7 has not assumed responsibility, did not resign, and did not constitute a government investigation committee. For political reasons, it prevents an agreement to return to the return of all the kidnapped (prisoners with Hamas) at once.”
