We must talk about the climate crisis. Not despite the war, but because of it. True, talking about the climate crisis in 2024 feels detached, perhaps even privileged. People lost their lives, their family members, their homes and their livelihoods in this terrible year.
But if we don’t talk about the climate crisis now, we will find that even more of us will be at risk of losing our lives, our families, our health, our home and our livelihood. And no less serious, we will discover that the climate crisis has become an excuse for a messianic government to continue what it is doing to us.
