Health in Gaza refuses the occupation warnings to evacuate hospitals news

|

The Israeli occupation forces issued warnings to Gaza City hospitals to prepare to evacuate patients, medical staff, and equipment, and to go to the south as part of the preparations they are taking part in the framework of the Gaza City occupation plan, which was rejected by the health authorities in the city.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced its rejection of any step that would undermine the remaining health system, and stressed that the occupation decision would deprive more than a million people of their right to treatment, and endanger the lives of the residents, patients and wounded at risk.

The Israeli occupation army had made what he said was preliminary warning calls with medical agencies and international organizations in the northern Gaza Strip, ordering them to prepare to transport patients from Gaza City hospitals to the south.

Unbearable pressure

The Director General of the Palestinian Ministry of Health, Dr. Munir Al -Barash, said that the Israeli occupation “plans to fail the health sector in the sector and break the morale of the medical staff.”

Al -Barash added – in a previous interview with Al -Jazeera – that he does not rule out the commission of other massacres in hospitals, as he had previously done since the beginning of the aggression on October 7, 2023.

In turn, the United Nations said that the continuing orders to evacuate Gaza City, in addition to the tremendous escalation in the pace of violence, pushed the residents to smaller and smaller areas, which imposes unbearable pressure on hospitals.

In a previous interview with Al -Jazeera, the director of the Al -Shifa Medical Complex in Gaza, Dr. Muhammad Abu Salmiya, said that “the orders of the occupation to transfer equipment to the southern Gaza Strip are a death sentence for two thousand patients, and a threat to the lives of hundreds of thousands of residents of the sector.”

For his part, a spokesman for the Al -Aqsa Martyrs Hospital, Khalil Al -Dakran, said – in statements to Al -Jazeera – that the occupation “wants to undermine the health system by requesting the transfer of equipment from the northern Gaza Strip to the central and southern governorates,” considering this “a continuation of the Israeli genocide policy against the residents of the Strip.”

Prosecutors of starvation

In the same context, the Ministry of Health in Gaza said that the total number of victims of starvation and malnutrition in the Strip has increased to 271 martyrs, including 112 children.

The Gaza Strip hospitals also announced the death of 71 people with the fire of the occupation forces on Thursday, including 11 aid applicants.

Medical sources at Al -Shifa Hospital also reported the martyrdom of a Palestinian and the injury of others from the awaiting aid, with the fire of the occupation forces near Al -Rashid Street, northwest of Gaza City.

The sources added that other injured people arrived at the hospital after the occupation army bombed a populated house in the area of Al -Shanti, northwest of Gaza City.
