Union Railway Minister Piyush Goyal will inaugurate the Jan Shatabdi Express train in the name of Maa Purnagiri from Tanakpur Railway Station to Delhi today. The Railway Minister will inaugurate this train virtually at 1:25 pm.
All the coaches of the train will be of reserved category. It will also be mandatory for passengers traveling by all regularly running trains to follow the guidelines issued regarding protection and prevention of Covid-19.
According to railway officials, the people of Uttarakhand are going to get the gift of train today. Rajya Sabha MP and senior BJP leader Anil Baluni, MP Ajay Tamta and Nainital MP Ajay Bhatt will also be prominently present in the inauguration ceremony.
According to railway officials, from Tanakpur to Delhi Jn. Purnagiri Jan Shatabdi Express Train, to be run between: 12, will have 12 coaches, which will have two AC and two generator chaircars. 8 chair cars will be non AC. The travel time between Tanakpur to Delhi has been stated to be 9:45 hours, whereas people were expecting that after the launch of Jan Shatabdi, the travel time between Tanakpur to Delhi will be significantly reduced.

After the completion of Jan Shatabdi, the border area of Tanakpur will now be directly connected to the country’s capital Delhi through rail service. People will get great convenience in commuting. It is said that the people of the frontier were waiting for the operation of this train for a long time. Now today his hope is going to be fulfilled.
After the operation of this train, devotees will get great convenience in traveling to Maa Purnagiri Dham. Recently, a train was also operated for Triveni by the Railway Ministry. After the virtual inauguration of this train by the Railway Minister today, train number 05325 will leave from Tanakpur for Delhi at 11:25 am from Saturday. After this, train number 05326 will be operated regularly from Delhi to Tanakpur at 6:10 am the next day.
According to Pankaj, Chief Public Relations Officer of North Eastern Railway, train operations will start daily from Tanakpur and Delhi Junction on both sides from February 27. According to CPRO, the probable departure time of the inauguration special train will depend on the inauguration time of the train. Train number 05323 will be inaugurated by Railway Minister Piyush Goyal today on February 26 at 1:25 pm through virtual medium.
