New Delhi. Bond Listing on BSE program of Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation was organized in Delhi today i.e. on Thursday. After Lucknow, the bond of Ghaziabad, the second municipal corporation of Uttar Pradesh, has been issued. This is the country’s first green bond.

An amount of Rs 150 crore was received from the issue of bonds of the Municipal Corporation, which will be used to treat sewer water in Sahibabad Industrial Area. Due to which water will be made available to about 1700 companies. With this the load on ground water will also reduce. That is why it has also been called green bond.

On the bond listing ceremony of Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation, Union Minister of State for Road Transport and Ghaziabad MP VK Singh said that this is a very big opportunity. The country’s first green bond was issued by Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation. With this, sewage water will be treated and supplied to Sahibabad Industrial Area.

Uttar Pradesh Urban Development Minister Ashutosh Tandon said that Ghaziabad is the second municipal corporation in Uttar Pradesh, whose bond has been listed. This is the country’s first green bond. This will be used to clean water and supply it to companies. This will also reduce the pressure on groundwater.

State Urban Development Minister said that many other municipal corporations including Agra, Bareilly are making efforts inspired by this and the state government will help them. On this occasion, Union Minister and Ghaziabad MP General VK Singh, Uttar Pradesh Urban Development Minister Ashutosh Tandon, Ghaziabad Mayor Asha Sharma, Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation Commissioner Mahendra Tanwar and Secretary of the Union Urban Development Ministry Durga Shankar Mishra participated.
