New Delhi. It has been 24 days since the farmers sitting on the borders of Delhi have been protesting against the agricultural laws. While on one hand there is a problem in traffic due to farmers sitting on the roads, on the other hand business across the country is also suffering huge losses. After the shock of the Corona epidemic and the situation arising out of the farmers’ movement, traders are now appealing to the central government to listen to the demands of the farmers.

Suresh Bindal, former head of Delhi Hindustani Merchandile Association, says that business has suffered huge losses due to the farmers’ movement. Even in all the wholesale markets of Delhi, Chandni Chowk, Sadar Bazaar, Khari Baoli, Naya Bazaar, Bhagirath Palace, Daryaganj, Tank Road, Sarojini Nagar, Gandhinagar, besides the markets spread over 600 kilometers from Delhi, buying and selling has stopped. The farmers’ agitation that has been going on for a fortnight has had a big impact on the turnover of the market. In these days, buying and selling worth about Rs 30 thousand crores has stopped.

Bindal says that the market has already faced a lot of troubles due to Corona. Now, as the situation was getting better, the farmers’ movement has broken the back of the businessmen. There is a different kind of fear among transporters due to this movement. Due to the intensified agitation from 12th December to 14th December, business has been affected the most.

Whereas ASSOCHAM and Confederation of All India Traders (cat) It is also estimated that business has suffered huge losses due to the farmers’ movement. Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry ASSOCHAM (ASSOCHAM) It has been said thatFarmers’ issues should be resolved quickly. Due to farmers’ protest, there is a loss of Rs 3500 crore every day. In such a situation, a huge loss is expected due to this movement which has been going on for about 20 days. Due to the farmers’ movement, not only the traders of Delhi NCR but the traders across the country are facing problems. Punjab due to this, The economies of states like Haryana and Himachal Pradesh have been affected.

Whereas CAT’s National General Secretary Praveen Khandelwal says that due to the ongoing farmers’ movement in and around Delhi, business worth about Rs 5000 crore has been affected. Khandelwal says that the demands of the farmers should be heard and this problem should be solved immediately. If this is not done quickly then the condition of traders and transporters can become very bad. The loss-making farming of farmers should be converted into profitable farming. After Diwali, things started getting back on track and now big troubles have arisen due to the farmers’ movement.
