Soon after, the American Fencing Federation issued a statement supporting Sullivan and the participation of the transgender people in this sport.

“The American Fencing Union approved its current policy for sexually transformed athletes in 2023. This policy was designed to expand access to fencing sport and create comprehensive and safe spaces,” the statement said.

Sullivan, a sporting sport, has previously released the headlines of the newspaper last December after making the decision to join the women’s team at her university.
