Eran Ricklis’s film is currently screened in the cinemas based on Azar Nepsi’s bestseller “Read Lolita in Tehran” from 2003. Responding to the story of the act today inspires many thoughts, as who could have predicted that within two decades since Nephisi described her feelings under the fundamentalism and Iranian Tetitativeism – these feelings would become so well known in Israel of 2025.
Nephisi, a daughter of a well -attached family in Iran, graduated from PhD in English literature in the United States, and, like many who developed hopes following the fall of the Shah, returned to the country after the Revolution of 1979.
