Civil Defense in Gaza: 75% of our vehicles stopped working for fuel scarcity news

The Civil Defense in Gaza confirmed today, Thursday, that 75% of its vehicles have stopped working to scarce fuel after Israel tightened its blockade on the Strip since the second of last March.

“75% of our vehicles have stopped working because the diesel is not available to operate it,” the civil defense said in a brief statement, adding, “We are suffering a great deficit in the availability of generators and oxygen devices in Gaza.”

The Gaza Strip has been suffering from a catastrophic crisis since Israel closed the crossings on March 2, in violation of the entry of food, medicine and aid, which led to the spread of starvation and the high number of hunger deaths to 57 people, most of them children, according to government reports.

The 2.2 million Gaza Palestinians are entirely dependent on that aid after the genocide that Israel has been continuing to commit 20 months ago to the poor, according to the World Bank data confirmed.

More than 30 independent experts who cooperate with the United Nations yesterday urged international move “now” to prevent “eliminating” the Palestinians in the besieged sector.

“The option is clear: either standing the spectator’s position and watching the innocent massacre or participating in the formulation of a just solution”, and urged the world to avoid “the moral abyss that we are sliding.”

Israel has committed American support since October 7, 2023 genocide crimes in Gaza, which left more than 171,000 between a Palestinian martyr and a Palestinian wound – most of them children and women – and more than 11 thousand missing.
