New Delhi. Amidst the ever increasing inflation, the interest on savings accounts is also very important for the common people. Interest received on bank deposits is also a type of income. But with the increase in inflation, the interest rates on deposits in savings accounts have also decreased. This has had a direct impact on interest income and it has gone negative.
Even now there are some banks which are offering good interest rates to the customers. Some banks have also increased these rates recently. Here we have brought information about some such banks, which are offering the highest interest rates on deposits in savings accounts.
State Bank of India
State Bank of India (SBI) has recently changed the interest rate on deposits in savings accounts. SBI has made this change for deposits of more than Rs 10 crore. Now the bank is giving interest at the rate of 3 percent on deposits of Rs 10 crore and above in savings account. Whereas 2.7 percent interest is being given on deposits less than Rs 10 crore.

ICICI Bank
ICICI Bank calculates interest on the amount deposited in the savings account on a daily basis, that is, interest is given on the basis of daily balance. ICICI Bank has recently changed the interest rates on savings account. If there is a balance of Rs 50 lakh in the savings account of this bank at the end of the day, then interest will be given at the rate of 3 percent. On the amount deposited more than this, interest will be given at the rate of 3.50 percent.
hdfc bank
HDFC Bank last changed the interest rates on savings accounts on April 6, 2022. This bank is offering interest at the rate of 3 percent on deposits of less than Rs 50 lakh. At the same time, interest at the rate of 3.50 percent is being given on deposits of Rs 50 lakh or more. In this bank also the interest is calculated on daily basis.
Punjab National Bank
The current interest rates of Punjab National Bank on deposits in savings account are effective from April 4, 2022. On savings account, Punjab National Bank is giving 2.7 percent interest to its customers on deposits less than Rs 10 lakh. Whereas it is offering interest at the rate of 2.75 percent on deposits of more than Rs 10 lakh.
