Athena Toubak, the Israeli Ambassador: We do not accept lessons from civilian killers news

|

On Sunday, Harris Docas, Harris Docas, criticized the type of Katz, the Israeli ambassador to Greece, after accusing the local authorities of failing to remove graffiti fees that he said was “anti -Semitic” and offended the feelings of Israeli tourists.

“We do not accept lessons in democracy from those who kill civilians” in reference to the war of extermination that Israel has launched on Gaza for nearly two years.

His response came after statements reported by the local newspaper “Cathimirini” about the Israeli ambassador, in which he said that the municipality of Athens “is not making enough effort to protect the city from organized groups that write anti -Semitic slogans,” adding that “neglecting to clean the streets disturbs Israeli tourists.”

However, the mayor considered that “it is indispensable for the ambassador to focus on writings on the walls, most of which were removed at the time of an unprecedented extermination against the Palestinians in Gaza.”

The Greek capital has witnessed continuous demonstrations since the outbreak of the Israeli war on Gaza, organized by activists and stars to denounce the Israeli military shelling and aggression against Gaza, and protests erupted in some Greek islands in protest against the arrival of tourist ships carrying Israelis.

Ducas pointed out that the number of Israelis who obtained a “golden visa” to invest in Greece has increased by more than 90% during the past year, in light of the increasing number of tourists coming from Israel since the outbreak of the war on Gaza.

The Greek government finds itself in a critical position between its historical relations with the Arab countries and its growing partnership with Israel in the fields of defense and energy, at a time when about 15 Western countries announced their intention to recognize the Palestinian state.
