Recently, big cases of fraud in the name of this film have come to light in the country’s capital Delhi including Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. In which criminals have not only stolen money from people’s accounts but have even emptied their accounts.

Well-known cyber expert Kislay Chaudhary, cyber crime advisor of Delhi Police and chairman of the Indian Cyber ​​Army, told News 18 Hindi that Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri’s recently released film The Kashmir Files. In the name of (The Kashmir Files), criminals have defrauded people of lakhs. Three such cases have come up in Delhi, out of which two cases are from Daryaganj Cyber ​​Cell and Janakpuri Cyber ​​Cell. The biggest case of fraud has come in the name of this film of Rs 47 lakh. In which cyber hackers have emptied the entire account of a CEO rank officer of a company. In this case, the criminal had asked for a donation of Rs 100 or Rs 200 from the victim in the name of Kashmiri Hindus and asked him to transfer the money online. Only after doing this process, he got trapped in this trap of fraud and within minutes his entire account became empty. At present investigation is going on in this matter.

Kislay says that the other two cases in Delhi involve lesser amounts. Apart from these, two cases have also come from Bihar state in which the police officers there have asked Delhi Cyber ​​Cell to share information to solve such cases. Apart from this, a case of fraud has come to light in the name of this film in UP also. Chaudhary says that these are the cases in which the Indian Cyber ​​Army is working fully. Whereas information has been received that many cases of embezzlement of money from accounts have come to light in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. In many cases donations are being sought and some cases have also come up related to the link of the film. During this time, as soon as a person clicked on the link to watch the movie, the money disappeared from his account through Paytm or Phone Pay.

Criminals are adopting these two methods
Kislay Choudhary told that The Kashmir Files movie has just released in theatres, while everyone wants to watch this film after hearing its praise from the common people including on social media. Not only this, many people are also having emotional attachment towards Kashmiri Hindus and when it comes to helping them, they are coming forward, hence criminals are taking advantage of these sentiments.

Chaudhary told that in many cases of fraud, the link of The Kashmir Files movie is being sent. There is a text with this link. It is being said that this link was found with great difficulty, it contains the entire film. You do not need to spend money by going to the theatre, now you can watch this movie for free on your phone. As soon as a person clicks on this link, it opens and all the details from the phone reach the hacker. During this time, he tries to access your bank account linked to the phone number and steals the money. Sometimes this link lasts for a few minutes, while sometimes it is just a fake link.

By asking for donations and OTP in the name of Kashmiri Hindus
Kislay told that in the case of Rs 47 lakh that happened in Delhi, he had not sent the link but had directly called and asked for donations for Kashmiri Hindus while mentioning the Kashmir files. The criminal asked to donate Rs 100 or Rs 200, whatever was possible and gave an account number. As soon as the victim transferred the money to it. A few minutes later the call came again and an OTP was asked to be shared. The victim asked why it was told that the names of the people who are donating are being recorded and their data is being prepared as to who has given how much money, this is a private and internal process and it is necessary to do it. After this, as soon as the OTP was given, the account became vacant.

Choudhary says that many more cases involving OTP have also come to light. In which OTP has been asked for giving some money in the name of Kashmir files and people gave it out of good intentions and after that they had to lose the money.

Connection from Punjab came to light
Cyber ​​experts say that in the fraud cases that have taken place in Delhi, a Punjab connection has come to light. It has been observed that the fraud was committed from some place in Punjab itself. At present, a team of cyber experts and police teams of the states are investigating the cases.

Do not click on any unexpected or unknown link. Be it in the name of a film, some event or some benefit scheme. If a link has come saying it is free then do not open it at any cost. Try to delete it from WhatsApp without clicking. If the call has come from an unknown number, block that number also.
If you get a call from somewhere and are asked for donations, then don’t donate at first. Check it out. Even if you want to donate, do not share any account, OTP, debit card number, debit card CVV number, phone number, bank or phone pay or Paytm related details with the person talking. . Do not share the One Time Password or OTP received on the phone under any circumstances. Instead, file a complaint against him.
If someone introduces himself as an employee of your bank and is offering free movie tickets or any other lure and asking you to do such and such work or to give your phone number, then do not trust him. Don’t do it. Hang up the phone or threaten to complain.
Keep your phone locked. Do not allow the phone to be used by any unknown person. Do not share your password. Do not keep the same password for everything, keep different ones.
