A Yemeni missile targets Israel and raids on Sanaa and Hodeidah news

|

The Israeli army announced that its defenses intercepted, before dawn on Thursday, a missile launched from Yemen before it entered Israeli airspace, while air strikes targeted Sanaa and Hodeidah.

In exchange for talk about intercepting the missile, media platforms published pictures that they said were of damage in the greater Tel Aviv area as a result of falling fragments of interceptor missiles fired by Iron Dome.

The Israeli army said in a statement that sirens were activated in several areas in central Israel following the launch of a ballistic missile from Yemen.

Al Jazeera sources reported hearing an explosion east of Tel Aviv after sirens sounded in several cities in central Israel.

The Jerusalem Post also reported that multiple explosions were heard in occupied Jerusalem, coinciding with the activation of sirens in Tel Aviv.

The new Yemeni missile bombardment comes despite Israeli threats to launch a violent attack on Yemen.

Raids on Yemen

Shortly after the announcement of the interception of the Yemeni missile, Al Jazeera’s correspondent reported hearing violent explosions as a result of raids on Sana’a.

Houthi media said that Sanaa and Hodeidah were subjected to a series of “aggressive raids.”

Sanaa, Hodeidah, and other Yemeni governorates were previously subjected to American and British raids.

Israel also launched a major air attack on Hodeidah and areas close to it late last September under the pretext of responding to missile and drone attacks launched from Yemen.

In solidarity with the Gaza Strip, which has been subjected to an Israeli war for more than a year, the Houthis target, with missiles and drones, Israeli cargo ships or those linked to them in the Red and Arabian Seas, and the Indian Ocean, and carry out attacks with missiles and drones on Israel, including operations that targeted Tel Aviv and Eilat.

They are also attacking American warships in the region in response to the US-British coalition strikes targeting them in Yemen.
