A person was killed as a result of a raid by an Israeli plane plane targeting a car in the town of Qaqa’a Al -Jisr in the Nabatiyeh district, in southern Lebanon, in a new breach of the ceasefire agreement yesterday evening, according to the Lebanese Ministry of Health.
A Lebanese security source told Al -Jazeera correspondent that the Israeli path targeted the car with two missiles, which led to its destruction and the outbreak of fire.
And last Saturday, Israel escalated its attacks on Lebanon after a claim that one of its settlements was subjected to a missile attack from the Lebanese side, and for its part, Hezbollah denied any relationship with that.
The Israeli raids on Lebanon – last Saturday – killed 8 people and hit 31 others, according to official Lebanese sources. This is in the fiercest escalation since the ceasefire entered the implementation on November 27.
On October 8, 2023, Israel began an aggression against Lebanon a shift to a widespread war on September 23, 2024, leaving more than 4 thousand dead and about 17 thousand wounded, including a large number of children and women, in addition to the displacement of about one million and 400 thousand people.
Despite the validity of a ceasefire agreement on November 27, 2024, Israel committed 1263 violations, which left at least 100 dead and 331 wounded, according to Lebanese official statements.
Israel dismissed the completion of its withdrawal from southern Lebanon by February 18, unlike the agreement. It carried out a partial withdrawal, and continues to occupy 5 major Lebanese hills, as part of the areas it occupied in the recent war.
I also recently started establishing a border strip that extends for a kilometer or two inside the territory of Lebanon.
For decades, Israel has occupied lands in Lebanon and Syria, and refuses to withdraw from them.
