The First Deputy Prime Minister said that the activities of the specialized national project of technological leadership “Means of Production and Automation” are focused on two main areas.

The first involves increasing the production of high-tech machine tool products. Last year, government support measures already ensured a 20 percent increase in production in this segment.

“In total, by 2030, our enterprises must scale up the production of about 550 types of machine tools, machining centers and components for them,” noted Denis Manturov.

The second direction involves the development of the industrial robots sector. Here, the guideline is the goal of Russia becoming one of the 25 leading countries in the world in terms of robotization density. This poses a challenge for the industry and integrators. It also requires building a new production culture.

We are talking about complex, flexible and multifunctional systems. With the integration of artificial intelligence, machine learning and sensor technologies,” said the First Deputy Prime Minister.

Denis Manturov named another aspect of industrial automation as the transition of enterprises to sovereign software.

The First Deputy Prime Minister paid special attention to labor productivity in the defense industry: in this area it has grown by more than 40% over the past three years, even taking into account the additional attraction of about 800 thousand new specialists to factories.

“We need a similar pace to achieve the development goals of the space industry. “Roscosmos is already implementing a corporate robotization program,” noted Denis Manturov.

Denis Manturov called the training of qualified personnel the most important factor in increasing labor productivity. To solve the problems of technological sovereignty of industry in the horizon until 2030, it is necessary to additionally attract more than 2 million employees of various profiles. A third of this need is made up of specialists with higher education.

During his speech, the First Deputy Prime Minister also touched upon the topic of standards. “High requirements, norms and rules, along with their unification, are the foundation for increasing production efficiency,” Denis Manturov emphasized.

Concluding his speech, the First Deputy Prime Minister noted that issues of industrial development are in the focus of constant attention of deputies of the State Duma, and thanked the deputies for their systematic long-term support and joint work.
