Executive Director of the Generation for Sustainable Development Association, Heba Marquis, said, “The Association believes in the importance of education and development in building humanity, and therefore it succeeded in providing educational scholarships to more than 9,200 students, provided school supplies to thousands of students in various regions of Lebanon, launched psychological and educational support programs for students affected by crises, and implemented literacy and digital education initiatives in marginalized communities.”
For his part, the Turkish Ambassador to Lebanon, Murat Lotem, expressed his pleasure at being in Sidon, praising the bond between the Lebanese and Turkish peoples.
He added, “Brotherhood does not have any conditions or circumstances. Lebanon was going through difficult circumstances, and when the major earthquake occurred in Turkey, Lebanon was one of the first countries to send rescue teams to help Turkey. This is evidence of the brotherhood of the Lebanese people who saved the lives of the Turkish people despite their difficult circumstances. Our great thanks to Lebanon and its people.”
