Denis Manturov held a meeting on the development of the rare earth metals industry
First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov held a meeting on the development of the rare earth metals industry. The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Natural Resources, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Economic Development, the Federal Agency for Subsoil Use, major manufacturers and industry organizations.
The meeting participants discussed the current state and development of the rare and rare earth metals industry, as well as the implementation of priority investment projects.
On behalf of the President of Russia, the Ministry of Industry and Trade prepared a draft plan for the development of the rare and rare earth metals industry, synchronized with the goals of the industry federal project. Activities include three main areas: mining, metallurgical processing, as well as manufacturing processing and production of high-tech products with high added value. The plan will include blocks on legal regulation, state support measures and protection of the domestic market, international cooperation and expansion of product markets, as well as attracting foreign investors.
Denis Manturov instructed the Ministry of Industry and Trade to submit a draft plan to the Russian Government by the end of November 2025 after interdepartmental approval.
