Putin and Netanyahu are discussing the Gaza war and the Iranian nuclear file news


Russian President Vladimir Putin made a phone call to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, during which he discussed developments in the Middle East, including US President Donald Trump’s plan to end the Gaza war and the Iranian nuclear file.

The Kremlin said in a statement this evening, Monday, that the call between Putin and Netanyahu “witnessed an extensive discussion of the ongoing developments in the Middle East, especially efforts to end the war in Gaza.”

The statement stressed that Putin stressed the need to reach a comprehensive and fair settlement of the Palestinian issue, according to international legitimacy decisions, and the importance of preventing exacerbation of tension in the region.

The statement indicated that the two presidents “expressed their interest in finding negotiating solutions to the regional crisis and the Iranian nuclear program.”

The talks also dealt with other files related to the achievement of stability in Syria, and the bilateral relations between Moscow and Tel Aviv in light of the accelerating developments in the Middle East.

The Kremlin stated that the Russian President congratulated Netanyahu and the Israeli people on the occasion of the Jewish Eagle Day (Sokut), while Netanyahu exchanged congratulations on the occasion of Putin’s birthday, stressing his keenness to continue coordination between the two countries in the files of common concern.
