The First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov took part in the main strategic session “Technology for Life” by the International Forum “Bioprom: Industry and Technology for Human”. Denis Manturov read out the greeting of Russian President Vladimir Putin to the forum participants. In a welcoming address, in particular, it is said: “Today, the development of the sciences of life and related applied directions largely determines the health of people, their environmental well -being. I mean the widespread introduction of advanced technologies in medicine, agriculture, in the country of food security. It is important that the new national project “Technological support for bio -economy“ ”is aimed at solving these large -scale, relevant problems.

The session participants discussed key trends in the field of innovative decisions aimed at maintaining and improving the quality of life of people, including the use of artificial intelligence in medicine and the pharmaceutical industry. Particular attention was paid to the development of the bio -industry in Russia and abroad.

Denis Manturov noted that more than 50 countries have already adopted strategies for the development of bio -economics and Russia is moving in the same direction. Work is being carried out on the development strategy in Russia for the period until 2035 and for a further perspective until 2050.

“At the applied level, approaches for the development of biocompany in the interests of a person consolidate the profile national project. It has been worked out in detail and in November will be included in the Presidium of the Presidential Development Council. In its preparation, we proceeded from the through task of achieving technological sovereignty. To do this, it is necessary to form scientific and production tunes in all links of the chain of the creation of bioproducts. We will do this supported by our own capabilities, but are completely open for cooperation with foreign partners. It is not without reason that our country takes an active position in the work on bio-economics at the BRICS sites and the “big twenty“ ”,” the first deputy prime minister emphasized.

Denis Manturov outlined the existing residents of Russia in the areas of biopharmaceuticals, biomedicines, organic cosmetics, agricultural and industrial biotechnologies, as well as in the field of preservation and reproduction of forest genetic resources. He emphasized that today 47 domestic institutions are engaged in research on bio -economics, and personnel with a specialized biotechnological education are preparing 89 universities.

“In the production unit, it is necessary to quickly consolidate existing bion forces and group sectors of the economy on consumption products. This will determine the most popular technologies and focus on their development budget capabilities, as well as the resources of development institutions. In addition, given the specifics of the industry, venture investments are an important lever of its growth. It is necessary to cultivate startups and small technological companies. And then the middle and large business will be able to convert their ideas into serial production, ”said First Deputy Prime Minister.

Denis Manturov got acquainted with the exhibition exposition of Russian companies in the field of biotechnology. The total area of ​​the exhibition exceeded 7 thousand square meters. m. The largest domestic corporations and leading scientific institutions have shown their developments and the latest technologies. In total, more than 100 companies and state corporations take part in the Bioprom exposition.
