In an interview with Fox News last Friday, Trump said of Mamdani, “It seems that he will win,” adding, “This is a revolution. This is also a revolution against bad candidates.”
Several media reported that the current mayor, Eric Adams, who was weakened by corruption accusations and his popularity declined in opinion polls, may withdraw from the race in exchange for obtaining a position in the Trump administration, but he denied these rumors so far.
