Shlomit Tana: When can you already think of the day after, “six after the war”?

I saw Masimo Kaufman’s colorful and beautiful chess board at the Milan Art Museum in Milan. I quickly took the picture to the nephew, whose fresh optimism is still trying to convince me to learn this sophisticated game. “Wow” he wrote what all the self -respecting chess should answer: “It’s cool, but confusing. Lol how can you play like that?”

“The artist claims to be played despite the confusion created from the countless options. But maybe you can take it a step further?” I asked. “Beyond the beauty of the board and the colorful tools, when you enjoy black and white duality and open to a variety – the game changes. Instead of playing against each other to victory or defeat, something new is created.” We talked about what such a new game could look like. Maybe a kind of dance? Maybe collaboration? Maybe something completely different?
