On August 26, applications for applications for the 11th season of the National Technological Olympiad (NTO)-the first and largest team engineering competitions for schoolchildren and students in Russia. Pupils of grades 5-11, college and universities are invited to participate. Every year, the Olympics collect hundreds of thousands of young people, offering more than 40 relevant technological areas. Everyone can choose a profile by interests and try their hand in solving real problems.
In the 2025/2026 academic year, competitions will be held in three age categories: NTO Junior for schoolchildren of 5–7 grades, senior track for 8-11 grades and student track. Registration for grades 5–7 is open until October 13, for grades 8–11 and students-until November 4 on the Olympiad website: My.ntContest.ru/.
The NTO is carried out during the coordination of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, together with the presidential platform “Russia -Country of Opportunities” as part of the national project “Youth and Children”, with the support of the “Movement of the First”, the Agency for Strategic Initiatives and the NTI Platform. The Olympiad’s project office will be deployed on the basis of the Higher School of Economics with the methodological support of the LTI circular movement. The Organizational Committee of the NTO is headed by the First Deputy Head of the Administration of the President of Russia Sergey Kiriyenko and Deputy Chairman of the Government Dmitry Chernyshenko.
“Since 2015, the National Technological Olympiad has united almost 900 thousand schoolchildren and students from all over Russia, as well as another 77 countries. The Olympics, originally conceived as an all -Russian engineering competition, gradually reached the international level. And we are sure that with the launch of the 11th season, the geography of the participants will only expand, and their number will exceed a million. However, NTO is not only about the scale. The main thing here is people. Young, bright, talented guys who are not just studying science and technology, but today create the future. This suggests that in our country the culture of scientific and technological thinking is growing stronger. NTO has become a real magnet for those who want to grow, develop and change the world, ”said Sergey Kiriyenko earlier at a meeting of the NTO Organizing Committee.
In the new season of NTO, 35 technological profiles are available to high school students – from artificial intelligence, neurotechnologies and information security to robotics, editing the genome, underwater and space systems. The student track of the Olympiad includes six profiles – participants will have to solve problems in the field of biology and medicine, monitoring of territories, and develop solutions for mining.
“Every year, the National Technological Olympiad is attracted by an increasing number of interested, talented schoolchildren and students: only last season it collected one and a half times more applications than in 2023 – about 220 thousand. Today, NTO is a strategic tool for training, which is developing along with time challenges. I am sure thanks to the continuous development and active cooperation with leading universities, technological companies of the Olympiad and will continue to make its important contribution to the formation of a personnel reserve to achieve national goals set by President Vladimir Putin, ”Dmitry Chernyshenko emphasized.
He also said that this season of NTOs four new profiles for high school students are launched. They reflect key trends in science and engineering: “Modeling in Biotechnology”, “Design Security”, “Flexible and Molecular Electronics”, “Engineering Networks of the Cities of the Future”. During the competition, students of grades 8-11 will have to design a space mission to monitor the Earth’s electromagnetic field, create a VR symbol with realistic control mechanics, and develop an autonomous transport system for a smart city. Participants will also work on computer games, design satellites and train neural networks. The command format of the Olympiad helps to develop not only technical competencies, but also the ability to distribute roles, communicate and find non -standard decisions in a short time.
“The Olympics has long established itself as an effective, important tool that helps to prepare future leaders in the field of science and technology. Thanks to this annual intellectual competition, schoolchildren can try themselves as engineers or developers, and students can develop and consolidate professional competencies, ”said Valery Falcov, deputy co -chairs of the NTO Organizing Committee.
The winners and prize -winners of the profiles of the school track of the NTO included in the draft order of the Ministry of Education and Science will receive benefits when entering universities – up to 100 points of the exam or crediting without entrance tests. Students who showed a high result can take internships in research centers and companies – partners of the NTO, as well as use benefits when entering the magistracy of universities – organizers of the profiles of the Olympiad.
“Today, NTO is a unique ecosystem for the formation of engineering thinking and practical skills. Its participants learn to work in a team, solve non -standard problems and act in a limited time and, thus, comprehend everything that a modern specialist needs. Thanks to partnerships with leading companies and universities, NTO creates a foundation in which schoolchildren can begin to build a successful professional trajectory from middle classes. I am sure that many of the participants in the Olympiad will become the leaders of technological development and make a significant contribution to the strengthening of the technological sovereignty of Russia, ”said Nikita Anisimov, deputy co -chairs of the NTO Organizing Committee, Rector of the NIU, Rector.
Since 2019, together with the Presidential Platform “Russia-Country of Opportunities”, the track of NTO Junior for schoolchildren of 5–7 grades has been held. In the new season, juniors competition will cover seven areas: virtual reality, artificial intelligence, computer games, space, robots, habitat and a new direction – cyberphysical systems. For students of the NTO middle classes, this is an opportunity to take the first steps into the world of modern technology and project thinking.

The finals of NTO Junior for students of grades 5–7 will be held in November 2025, and high school students and students will meet in the final competitions in February-April 2026 at the sites of leading technological universities in the country: the NIU HSE, the University of ITMO, the Mira, the Mira, the Moscow Political Politaus, the FEFU, the FEFU, the NSU, the NSU, the NSU, the NSU, the NSU Tomsk Polytechnic and others.
Recall that in the 10th season of the National Technological Olympiad, 220 thousand schoolchildren and students submitted an application for participation, and since 2015 the total coverage of the Olympics has exceeded 880 thousand participants from all regions of Russia and 77 foreign countries.
