The First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov visited the Rostov region with a working trip.

The industry of the region is developing dynamically. The enterprises of the region are actively using federal support measures: in the period from 2022 to 2025, within the framework of state programs implemented by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, about 58 billion rubles were allocated for these purposes.

As part of the trip, the First Deputy Prime Minister, together with the acting governor of the Rostov region, Yuri Slyusar, including visited the Atlantis-Pak production site. The company is included in the top three of the largest manufacturers of the plastic shell in the world and exports its products to dozens of countries of the world. Now the manufacturer is implementing a large investment project for the production of barrier films for the food industry. Previously, a significant share of such products was supplied because of the line. The company confirmed the readiness to completely close the need for the Russian market. Therefore, in order to support internal production, Denis Manturov instructed the Ministry of Industry and Trade to work out the issue of introducing duties on similar products from unfriendly countries.

To date, two of the three stages of the investment project have been completed. Now production capacities are 3.6 thousand tons of products per year. As part of the third stage, it is planned to install two new lines for the production of a multi -layer barrier food film with a capacity of 6.3 thousand tons per year.

Denis Manturov and Yuri Slyusar discussed the implementation of key investment projects in the Rostov region. “In general, the industry of the region is growing, in several areas there are questions. In particular, in agricultural engineering, this is a common problem that consists of several factors. But the government in the person of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Agriculture, and the development institutions today is actively working to “swing the“ market for support measures. Judging by the tendency that we see in July, we will cope with this task, ”said Denis Manturov.

As part of the meeting, the acting governor raised the issue of supporting one of the largest enterprises in the region – the Novocherkassk electric locomotive factory (part of the Transmashholding Company group). “The company implements a project for 43 billion rubles related to the scaling and modernization of production, goes to production of more than 700 sections per year, builds actually a new technological process and switches to domestic traction engines,” said Yuri Slyusar. According to the acting head of the region, as part of the project, the enterprise is interested in participating in public-private partnership using a capital grant format. As Yuri Slyusar emphasized, the region is interested in the Rostov enterprise become a pioneer here. Denis Manturov instructed the Ministry of Industry and Trade to consider the possibility of supporting the project in the framework of the budget of the next year.

Another issue was the support of the sewing and textile production of the BTK group of companies in the city of Shakhty. Currently, the company is implementing a project for the development of textile production aimed at the production of a polyamide thread. “This is especially important in the context of the President’s decision on the ban on the procurement of military uniforms from foreign fabrics and raw materials. This is a priority direction, we will try to support, ”Denis Manturov commented.

At the end of the meeting, Yuri Slyusar expressed gratitude to the president and the government for the decision on the pre -capitalization of the Industry Development Fund of the Rostov Region. This subsidy, according to the acting governor, has a large multiplier effect for the region’s enterprises.
