At the Baikonur cosmodrome, the specialists of the Roskosmos state corporation enterprises completed the launch of the Soyuz-2.1B launch vehicle with the logo of the tenth, anniversary Eastern Economic Forum, which will be held on September 3–6 in Vladivostok. The organizer of the WEF is the Roscongress Foundation.

“This year, the tenth, anniversary Eastern Economic Forum takes place. One of its main topics is the technological development of our country. Strong and independent Russia cannot be represented without astronautics. In the Far East, in the Amur Region, one of the most ambitious and large -scale projects in history is created – Vostochny cosmodrome. The launches of Russian launch vehicles from the Baikonur cosmodrome continue. And today the launch vehicle branded in honor of the VEF-2025 has started. I am convinced that our country will move forward in its technological development. The commission of Russian President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin on the leading development of the Far East will be fulfilled in full, which will stimulate the economy and improve the quality of life of our citizens, ”said Yuri Trutnev, Deputy Prime Minister of the President in the Far Eastern Federal District, Chairman of the Organizational Committee of the Eastern Economic Forum.

The launch vehicle brought to the polar orbit the Bion-M spacecraft No. 2 is a large medical and biological laboratory. As a result, some aspects of the impact of the conditions of the polar orbit will be studied, close to the conditions of the far cosmos.

“The launch of a missile with the symbols of the tenth, anniversary Eastern Economic Forum is a significant event that emphasizes the role of the WEF as a strategic platform for the development of the Far East and strengthen international cooperation in the Asia-Pacific region. For ten years, the forum has become an effective tool for attracting investments, implementing large infrastructure projects and the formation of new economic capabilities. The forum among other tools creates growth dynamics that the Far East demonstrates thanks to systemic state policy and the active participation of business. It also reflects the technological potential of Russia and its course on the sustainable development of the macro -region. The Eastern Economic Forum continues to confirm its status of a key debate, which determines the vectors of further socio-economic progress, ”said Anton Kobyakov, executive secretary of the Presidential Advisor, executive secretary of the VEF organizational committee.

The main theme of the VEF this year is “The Far East – cooperation in the name of peace and prosperity”.
