In Khanty-Mansiysk ended the III International Scientific Physical Olympiad (ISPHO-2025)
In Khanty-Mansiysk, the III International Scientific Physical Olympiad (ISPHO-2025) ended. The Russian team repeated the success of 2024 and again won the Grand Prix of the tournament. Russian schoolchildren received five medals and showed an absolute result, confirming the status of one of the strongest teams in the world. The organizers of the Olympiad were the Ministry of Education of Russia, the Moscow Physics and Technical Institute and the Government of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug-Ugra.
The guys were successfully congratulated by the Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko and Minister of Education Sergey Kravtsov.

The team of Russian schoolchildren has become one of the strongest at the International Scientific Olympiad in Physics. We are proud of the medalists and thank their teachers, mentors and parents for support and strong knowledge, ”said Dmitry Chernyshenko.

§ Alena Reznikova, Lyceum “Second School” named after V.F.ovchinnikova, Moscow;
§ Vadim Rybakov, Presidential Physics and Mathematics Lyceum No. 239, St. Petersburg.

The head of the Ministry of Education of Russia addressed special words of gratitude to teachers and coaches – their professionalism and devotion to the cause allowed students to win awards of higher dignity. Separately, Sergey Kravtsov noted a high level of international intellectual tournament.
This year, participation in the Olympiad was taken (https://edu.gov.ru/press/10090/v-yugre-startuet-mezhdunarodnaya-nauchnaya-fizicaya-olimpiada/) high school students from more than 20 countries CIS, Asia, the Middle East and Latin America. The tournament was held in a mixed format: 11 teams arrived in the capital of Ugra, and participants of 12 foreign states solved tasks remotely.
The Russian team team has been awarded the highest award of the Olympics-the ISPHO Grand Prix Cup. The tournament table is formed according to the sum of the points of the participants in national teams. The result of Russian physicists doubled the indicators of bronze medalists. In an individual standings, Russian schoolchildren won three gold and two silver medals.
According to the results of the Olympiad, gold in the team standings – at the national team of Kazakhstan, silver – at the team of Belarus, bronze – at the Malaysian national team.
In accordance with the regulations, separate results of theoretical and experimental tours were summed up. The best result in theory was shown by a participant from Israel. Russian schoolboy Denis Romanov (Fiztehtech-Lyceum named after P. Kapitsa, Dolgoprudny, Moscow Region), who received the maximum score, was noted for the best result in the experiment.
After the completion of the Olympiad in Khanty-Mansiysk, eight national teams will go to special training camps, which are organized on the Base of the MIPT in Dolgoprudny. The guys will go through an intensive training program under the guidance of leading Russian experts.
