Bennett applies to Netanyahu in an opinion poll news

A poll – leased by Maariv newspaper – showed that 46% of Israelis believe that former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett is the most appropriate person to take over the position of government, compared to 39% preferring Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

The poll also showed that Netanyahu is still outperforming other opposition leaders, Benny Gantz, Avigdor Lieberman and Yair Lapid.

According to the poll, it was found that 70% of Arab voters prefer the leader of the opposition to Lapid. 49% of them support Benny Gantz, while 46% choose Naftali Bennett.

The elections are scheduled to be held next year 2026, and Netanyahu – who is required for international justice to commit war crimes in Gaza – refuses to call the opposition to early, in light of the continuation of the war on Gaza.

A difficult situation

According to Maariv newspaper, the situation of the Netanyahu camp will be more difficult if former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett fought the elections. In this case, the Netanyahu camp will receive 45 seats and the opposition camp at 65, and 10 seats for Arab deputies.

Since the seventh of October 2023, Israel has committed – with American support – a collective genocide in Gaza, including killing, starvation, destruction and hybrid, ignoring international calls and orders to the International Court of Justice to stop it.

The extermination left more than 180,000 Palestinian martyrs and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 11 thousand missing, in addition to hundreds of thousands of displaced people and the famine that has been tired of many, including children.
