A festive concert was held in the National Center “Russia”, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Artek International Children’s Center. Participants were greeted by Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko and Minister of Education Sergey Kravtsov.

The Deputy Prime Minister noted that this is the start of the large marathon of festive events dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Artek.

We understand that this international center of children’s recreation is a standard of quality for all Russians and the whole world. Over the 100 years, more than 2 million children from 150 countries felt it on themselves and have forever became articians. They participated in educational programs, strengthened their health, engaged in sports and creativity, but most importantly, our most importantly, as it says, says ours. President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, “Artek“ teaches to be friends, ”he emphasized.

Dmitry Chernyshenko added that the president instructed to create an organizing committee that prepared a large -scale program of festive events, including the launch of a rocket, filming documentaries, the release of anniversary medals, memorable postage stamps and much more. And the culmination of the celebrations will be the final grand event, which will be held on June 16 in the Artek itself.

The deputy chairman of the government also expressed gratitude to everyone who contributes to the development of the education system.

To the anniversary “Artek” was established the Honorary of the “Counselor of Russia”, and soon the competition of the same name will be launched.

Dmitry Chernyshenko presented the first badge of the “counselor of Russia” for a significant contribution to the upbringing and education of the younger generation. The reward was received by an excellent student of the national education of the Russian Federation, the counselor of Artek in 1965-1966 Rosa Yakovlevna Shatyro from the Republic of Tatarstan.

In her response, Rosa Yakovlevna noted that during the work of the counselor she gave her heart to thousands of children.

Minister of Education Sergei Kravtsov climbed the stage with Valentina Nikolaevna Cherkasova. She survived the blockade of Leningrad, and after the war, in 1949, she rested at Artek. Together they performed the song “Artec oath”, written by the journalists of Pioneer Pravda Vladimir Boganov and Anatoly Anufriev.

Representatives of 89 regions of Russia were guests of the anniversary concert. Among them are education ministers, the heads of subjects, children recognized by Artek stars in different years, veterans of the Artek International Children’s Center. In addition, the event was attended by foreign delegations from about 30 countries.

On June 16, 2025, the Artek International Children’s Center will celebrate 100 years. Earlier in the State Duma and the Federation Council, thematic photo exhibitions were held. An important event was the publication of the Decree of President Vladimir Putin on the awarding of the Artek team by the Order of Honor.

Five films were shot for the anniversary, including the “100 years of happy childhood”, which was organized in January 2025. Together with the Samara University and the Fund for promoting innovation into space, a branded small spacecraft was launched, and on February 28, a launch vehicle with an artete jubilee logo was launched at the Baikonur cosmodrome. At the end of May, a jubilee shift started in the children’s center, which will last until June 17-18.

On June 5, a press scope of the adventure film “Artek. Through centuries, ”the filming of which took place in the territory of the MDC.
