Medical sources reported that 9 Palestinians from one family were martyred, and 15 others were wounded, as a result of the shelling of the occupation planes as a family in Al -Salatawi, north of Gaza City. Hm and distraction aid
In terms of the humanitarian situation in the besieged sector, the Commissioner -General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) Philip Lazarini said today, Wednesday, that the US -backed aid distribution system in Gaza “wasted resources and distracted from atrocities.”
Commenting on the scene of yesterday in Rafah, Lazarini said in his comments in the Japanese capital, Tokyo, “We saw yesterday’s shocking pictures of people who are scrambled on the walls in urgent need of food.
“I see that it wasted resources and distracted from atrocities. We mainly have a system for distributing aid suitable for this purpose. The humanitarian circles in Gaza, including UNRWA, are ready. We have experience and qualifications to reach people in need.”
“The aid distribution model proposed by Israel is not in line with the basic humanitarian principles,” Lazarini stressed.
He believed that “a large part of Gaza’s residents, who are the most vulnerable, will be deprived of the aid they desperately need.”
“We had previously 400 distribution places in Gaza. With this new regime, we are talking about 3 to 4 distribution places.”
“Therefore, it is also a way to incite people to forced displacement to obtain humanitarian aid,” he said.
He also warned of the consequences of delaying the provision of aid to Gaza, saying, “Meanwhile, the time is their hand in order to avoid starvation, so humanitarian organizations must be allowed to carry out their life -saving work.”
Thousands of Palestinians pushed on Tuesday afternoon towards a new aid distribution center run by an American -backed organization in the West Rafah area. 3 Palestinians were killed by the occupation fire, dozens were wounded, and others disappeared and their fate has not yet been known.
“There are about 47 people who were wounded,” Ajit Songhai, director of the United Nations Human Rights Office in Palestinian Territories, told reporters in Geneva in Geneva, adding that “most of the injuries were the result of shooting from the Israeli army,” Agit Songhai, Director of the United Nations Office for Human Rights in the Palestinian Territories.
Songhai stressed that his office is still evaluating and collecting information about the full image of what happened.
“The number may rise. We are trying to verify what happened to them,” with regard to the seriousness of the wounds suffered by the victims.
“We have influenced a lot of concerns about this mechanism. What we saw in yesterday is a very clear example of the risk of distributing foodstuffs in light of the conditions that the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation is currently operating,” Songhai said.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu admitted on Tuesday evening to “temporarily lose control” when the crowds rush, but he confirmed “the restoration of control.”
The Israeli army stated that “its soldiers launched warning shots in the area outside the complex,” and that it managed to “control the situation.”
The United Nations and international relief agencies stated that they will not cooperate with the “Gaza Humanitarian Foundation” in light of its accusations in cooperation with Israel without involving the Palestinians.
