Aston Villa announced that it will file a complaint with the English Premier League football because of the appointment of the referee, Thomas Pramal, to manage the team’s match, which he lost 2-0 against Manchester United on Sunday.
The victory at Old Trafford on the last day of the season, with other results in their favor, was sufficient for Aston Villa to ensure qualification for the Champions League next season.
But the late United’s goals by Idad Diallo and Cristian Eriksen caused the defeat of the visiting team.
Villa’s players were angry because of the cancellation of a goal that would put them in the lead, before a header from Diallo, due to a mistake from Morgan Rogers against the United goalkeeper Altai Bonde.
Brameal thought that Boeder was controlling the ball with both hands before Rogers pounced on it. On the seam line, the technical staff was forced to restrain the anger of Unai Emery, Villa coach.
“The complaint is related to the choice of rulers”
“The complaint is not related to the decision, but rather to the choice of referees.”
“One of the least experienced referees in one of the most difficult matches of the season, which is related to (fate) 4 or other teams. The matter is not related to the decision, the decision is clear. The decision is wrong. The referee apologized for the error. We cannot do anything. The problem lies in the absence of experienced international referees today.”

Villa coach Emery said that Pramal admitted that he made a mistake.
“Today, we can talk about the season, about the 90 minutes, and about the decisive moments. The decisive moment of course was the goal of Morgan Rogers and how the referee settled the match,” he added.
“I talked to the referee knowing his mistake. We make mistakes every day, and I also make mistakes. I believe in the capabilities of the assistant video referee, and I think we have distinguished referees in the Premier League. We may have this goal to achieve a better result and win a place in the Champions League, but we did not deserve more than this result.”
Pramal, 35, was escalated to the first level of referees, the highest level for referees in England, before the 2022-2023 season. This season, Pramal rotates the management of the matches between the Premier League and the second division.
