Topical issues of bilateral cooperation of Russia and Kyrgyzstan are considered.

The deputy chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, Alexei Overchuk, held together with the chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers-the head of the administration of the President of Kyrgyzstan Adylbek Kasymaliev, a meeting of co-government of the intergovernmental Russian-Cyrgist commission on trade, economic, technical and humanitarian cooperation. Representatives of relevant ministries and departments of Russia and Kyrgyzstan took part in the event held in the Kyrgyz Republic (Bishkek).

The co -chairs of the IPC considered the current issues of the summons of bilateral interaction. Particular attention was paid to the implementation of joint projects in the fields of industry, energy, agriculture, logistics, digitalization, issues of investment cooperation, as well as the further expansion of cultural and humanitarian ties of the Russian Federation and the Kyrgyz Republic and deepening integration within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union.

Alexey Overchuk emphasized that the Russian-Kyrgyz cooperation is at a high level and covers all spheres and directions of interstate interaction.

“We see a great potential for building cooperation in areas such as digital economics, transport and logistics, industrial and agro -industrial cooperation, as well as humanitarian cooperation,” said Deputy Prime Minister.

In 2024, the turnover of Russia and Kyrgyzstan exceeded $ 3.7 billion, the share of national currencies reached 98%. As of January 1, 2025, more than 1.3 thousand companies with the participation of Russian capital operate in Kyrgyzstan, which is a third of the total number of foreign companies in the country.

“We continue to consolidate the positive dynamics in trade and investments. According to the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan, the volume of Russian direct investment accumulated at the end of 2024 amounted to $ 1.2 billion, ”said Alexei Overchuk.

Countries carry out active work in multilateral formats – within the framework of international and regional structures, including the EAEU, CIS and the SCO. Regional cooperation is developing-79 regions of the Russian Federation are actively engaged in trade and economic relations with Kyrgyzstan.

The key area of ​​interaction between countries is humanitarian cooperation. Russia and Kyrgyzstan are actively developing relations in the areas of science, education and culture.

An important event was the holding of the Culture of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Russian Federation in 2024, within which concert performances and theatrical performances, days of Kyrgyz cinema, and the forum of cultural figures of the two countries, the exhibition of the National Historical Museum of Kyrgyzstan were held at the leading venues of Moscow and St. Petersburg. The central event of culture days was a gala concert for the 100th anniversary of the Kara-Kyrgyz Autonomous Region on the historical stage of the Bolshoi Theater of Russia.

During the meeting of co -chairs, the development of cooperation in the educational field was considered. In Russian educational organizations, 16 thousand Kyrgyz citizens are trained. Organizational, methodological and financial support for the activities of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University is turned out. In general educational organizations of the Kyrgyz Republic there is a humanitarian project “Russian teacher abroad” – 198 teachers carry out pedagogical activities in 42 educational organizations of Kyrgyzstan.

The implementation of the project for the construction of nine joint schools with training in Russian in the Kyrgyz Republic continues.
