Congratulations to the Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev with World Water Resources Day

Today we celebrate World Water Resources Day. This date is an occasion to think again about the importance of water for life on the planet.
In the conditions of modern challenges related to environmental pollution, a whole range of measures is held in our country, including national projects. Their tasks include reducing the volume of polluted wastewater, improving the quality of water bodies, and the restoration of aquatic ecosystem. The development of other industries directly depends on this.
Within the framework of the federal project “Water of Russia” of the National Project “Environmental well -being”, by the end of 2030, it is planned to improve environmental living conditions near reservoirs for more than 23 million people and fulfill a comprehensive recovery of water bodies with a total length of more than a thousand kilometers. We pay special attention to the preservation of the pearl of Russia – Lake Baikal.
It is important to remember that water is the element, and we build engineering protection in order to ensure the protection of the population and objects of the economy from its negative impact. For the construction and repair of hydraulic structures, as well as the clearing of water bodies this year, 6.5 billion rubles are provided.
In addition, our citizens provide great help in maintaining nature. In order to increase environmental literacy and the formation of careful attitude to the environment, volunteer measures to clean the shores from garbage are held within the national project.
I also want to thank the employees of regional and federal departments that improve the condition of our water arteries. You are real professionals. I am sure that together we will ensure environmental well -being for future generations and save the planet!
