In the North Caucasus Federal District, more than 20 thousand people moved from emergency housing
On behalf of the president in the regions, the resettlement of people from emergency houses continues. Since 2019, 313 thousand square meters have been resettled in the North Caucasus Federal District. m of unsuitable housing, said Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin.
“The resettlement program from emergency houses is extremely important for improving the quality of life of our citizens, so we are actively involved in the solution of this issue throughout the country. Since 2019, 20.6 thousand people moved to new apartments alone in the North Caucasus Federal District. Including about 1.4 thousand citizens were able to improve their living conditions thanks to the programs that the regions have implemented at the expense of their own budgets. After the completion of the national project “Housing and the urban environment“ Work continues as part of the new national project “Infrastructure for life“, ”said Marat Khusnullin.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister, in the North Caucasus Federal District the largest number of citizens moved from emergency houses in the Chechen Republic (12.2 thousand people), the Stavropol Territory (2 thousand people) and the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (1.7 thousand people).
“Of the seven subjects of the North Caucasus Federal District, five have already completed the resettlement of emergency houses, which were recognized as unsuitable for living until January 1, 2017. Moreover, in the Kabardino-Balkarian, Karachay-Cherkess, Chechen republics and the Republic of Dagestan, they began to resettle citizens from houses recognized as emergency after 2017, ”said Ilshat Shagiakhmetov, General Director of the Territory Development Fund.
The program of resettlement of citizens from the emergency housing stock is supervised by the Ministry of Construction of Russia. Its operator is the Territory Development Fund.
