American deputies and rabbis demand Trump to retract the seizure scheme of Gaza news

Hundreds of American deputies and rabbis announced their opposition to President Donald Trump’s plan for the United States to seize the Gaza Strip and displace its population.

Axios revealed that 143 democratic deputies sent a message to Trump, in which they demanded that he retract his comments on the United States’ control of Gaza.

In the letter, the deputies expressed their shock from the issuance of an invitation from an American president for a permanent forced displacement targeting two million people, the number of Palestinians of Gaza.

Representatives signature on the message represent about two -thirds of the 215 Democratic members of the House of Representatives.

The site of the message warned that this step is “not just an immoral action”, but rather “will harm the position of the United States globally, endanger American forces, and increase terrorist threats.”

They also pointed out that Trump’s move “may hinder the United States’ opportunities to cooperate with its Arab partners to rebuild Gaza and find a peaceful solution to the conflict with Israel.”

Jewish refusal

In a related context, 350 rabbis in the United States signed an announcement they published on the American newspaper “The New York Times” in which they opposed Trump’s plan to displace the Palestinians from Gaza.

The published announcement came on Thursday, on a full page entitled “Trump calls for the removal of all Palestinians from Gaza. The Jewish people say no to ethnic cleansing.”

The announcement included the names of 350 rabbis, including some Jewish activists, in protest against the Trump plan to displace the Palestinians from Gaza.

On February 4, Trump revealed, during a press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Washington, his country’s intention to seize Gaza after the displacement of the Palestinians.

Trump called for the displacement of the Palestinians into neighboring countries, especially Egypt and Jordan, which was rejected by the countries, other regional and Western organizations.

Trump’s plan for Gaza met a broad Palestinian, Arab and international rejection, while it was met with great praise at the political level of Israel.

With American support, Israel committed, between October 7, 2023 and January 19, 2025, a collective genocide in Gaza, which left about 160,000 martyrs and wounded Palestinians, most of them children and women, and more than 14,000 missing.
