Egypt said that it intends to provide an “integrated perception” to rebuild the Gaza Strip while ensuring that the Palestinians remain on their soil, confirming its rejection of any proposal to allocate Egyptian lands to the residents of Gaza.
A statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs – Tuesday – stated that Egypt confirms “its intention to offer an integrated perception of the reconstruction of the sector and in a way that ensures that the Palestinian people remain on their land and in a manner consistent with the legal and legal rights of this people.”
She also expressed “her aspiration to cooperate with the US administration led by President (Donald) Trump in order to reach a fair settlement of the Palestinian issue that takes into account the rights of the peoples of the region.”
The statement came at a time when Trump continues to pressure to implement his plan to control the Gaza Strip and transfer its residents to Egypt and Jordan, despite the rejection of the Arab countries.
On the other hand, the official Cairo news channel in Egypt said on Tuesday – quoting Egyptian sources – that Cairo confirms its rejection of any proposal to allocate lands to the residents of Gaza.
The channel quoted the sources as saying that “Egypt confirms its position by rejecting any proposal to allocate land to the residents of the Gaza Strip and confirms its adherence to the failure to get the Palestinians out of their lands or settle them anywhere else.”
US President Donald Trump said earlier on Tuesday that he believed that there would be plots of land in Jordan and Egypt and other places where the Palestinians can be settled.
Since last January, Trump has been promoting the plan to displace the Palestinians of Gaza into neighboring countries such as Egypt and Jordan, which was rejected by the two countries, and other Arab countries and regional and international organizations have joined them.
