Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak held the third meeting of the subcommission to increase the stability of the financial sector and individual sectors of the economy.

The event was attended by Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Maxim Oreshkin, Minister of Industry and Trade Anton Alikhanov, President of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, Alexander Shokhin, heads of federal executive bodies, State Duma deputies, representatives of the Bank of Russia, State Corporation VEB.RF, and industry associations, industry associations large companies.

Participants discussed production and financial indicators, profitability, and the level of closing the enterprises of the metallurgical and forestry complexes.

Alexander Novak especially noted the need to monitor the implementation of large investment projects.

The Minister of Industry and Trade Anton Alikhanov reported on the current state of enterprises of metallurgical and forestry complexes, risks associated with the sale of large investment projects, the level of demand for metallurgical and forestry products in the domestic and foreign markets, the situation with employment in these areas, the features of the transportation of products through the ports And by rail.

The meeting participants discussed possible risks associated with the implementation of new and existing projects in the conditions of closing a number of enterprises, a high key rate, and the need to fulfill their social and environmental obligations. Measures of support for the development of industries were proposed, including stimulating demand in the domestic market and improving export logistics.

Alexander Novak instructed the Ministry of Economic Development, the Ministry of Finance, and the Ministry of Industry and Trade to work out the measures proposed to support metallurgical and forestry projects.

Also, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Economic Development, together with the Ministry of Finance, was instructed to determine the key projects and enterprises of the metallurgical and forestry industries, to which it is advisable to distribute targeted support and prepare proposals for such measures.

The Ministry of Transport, together with the Ministry of Industry and Trade and OJSC Russian Railways, is instructed to work out the issue of increasing the number of directed container trains allocated for organizations of the metallurgical and forest industries, taking into account regional production and shipment of products.

The Ministry of Economic Development is entrusted with the development of the conditions for their inclusion in the register of continuous production enterprises and the determination of measures that ensure the guaranteed timely delivery of raw materials and finished products.

The Ministry of Construction and the Ministry of Industry and Trade has been instructed to develop tools for stimulating demand for the products of the forestry complex in individual housing, industry and energy. The Ministry of Industry and Trade, together with the sector companies, will prepare a “road map” for the development of the production of domestic logging equipment.

The metallurgical and forestry complexes proposed at the meeting will have an effect on maintaining internal demand and production volumes of these industries.
