New Delhi. On behalf of the Building Department of North Delhi Municipal Corporation, people are requested to deposit the charges of Conversion Charge, Demolition Charge, C&D Charge, Additional FAR etc. from the businessmen and depositors. Now you will not have to stand in long queues at banks.
All these people have been given the facility of depositing checks instead of demand draft by the North MCD Building Department. A circular has also been issued by the Building Department in this regard. Now, removing all these inconveniences, a provision has been made to deposit the fees through check also.
North MCD Leader of the House Yogesh Kumar Verma said that before this circular of this department, these fees were collected through demand draft. Due to this, businessmen/depositors had to face a lot of inconvenience.
At the same time, to get a demand draft made, they had to pay additional charges and for this they also had to stand in queues in banks. To get rid of all these inconveniences, the corporation has made a provision to deposit these fees through cheque.
Verma said that the Tax Clerk of the Zonal Building Department will give the receipt to the depositor in exchange of the cheque/demand draft from the depositor at the same time and will also see that his mobile number is visible on the back side of the cheque/demand draft taken from the depositor. No. And the home address must also be written.
Apart from this, a stamp will be put on the back side of the check by the tax clerk in which the head of account will be mentioned.
He said that the tax clerk will headwise all the cheques/demand drafts deposited by 3 pm every day, prepare challan for them and deposit them in the zonal corporation treasury and the tax clerk will personally keep a copy of each challan. Besides, a register will also be maintained for entry of cheques, so that in future, its mutual record can be maintained in the Zonal Building Department.
He also said that if the cheque/demand draft deposited by the depositor bounces in the bank, then necessary action will be taken against him by the Zonal Executive Engineer-Building Department for recovery.
