Russia continues to implement large-scale infrastructure projects, including the construction of a new highway between Dyurtyuli and Achit. The construction of a bridge across the Belaya River on this road is being completed, said Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin.

“The new road from the city of Dyurtyuli to the village of Achit, 275 km long, will become part of the extension of the M-12 Vostok highway to Yekaterinburg and will ensure fast, comfortable and safe movement of Russians, increase freight traffic, open prospects for the development of domestic tourism and create conditions for the launch of new investment projects. Along with the main road, we are also constructing artificial structures. In particular, in the Republic of Bashkortostan we are completing the construction of a bridge across the Belaya River with a length of 813 m. This is the largest structure on the Dyurtyuli – Achit section. Its structure consists of monolithic reinforced concrete. To date, all 10 spans of the bridge have already been concreted. The final work is ahead: laying asphalt concrete, installing a barrier fence, electric lighting and marking,” said Marat Khusnullin.

The Deputy Prime Minister added that the height of the supports in the riverbed part is about 27 m, and the height of the coastal supports is about 20 m. At the peak of the construction of the bridge, more than 700 people and over 50 pieces of equipment were involved in the work.

The head of the state company Avtodor, Vyacheslav Petushenko, said that modern technologies are used during the construction of the structure.

“When constructing the support bodies, we used continuous concreting technology with sliding formwork, which significantly reduces construction time. In addition, self-compacting concrete mixture was used on the bridge over the Belaya River. Due to its increased plasticity and mobility, it evenly occupies the entire space of the formwork without the formation of voids and air bubbles. Such monolithic concrete subsequently increases the service life of the structure,” noted Vyacheslav Petushenko.

The Dyurtyuli – Achit highway passes through the territory of three regions: the Republic of Bashkortostan, the Perm Territory and the Sverdlovsk Region.
