Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexander Novak visited Burkina Faso. Alexander Novak’s trip was the first visit of the Deputy Prime Minister of Russia to the country. The Russian delegation also included representatives of business circles.

In the capital of Burkina Faso, Ouagadougou, Alexander Novak held a working meeting with the Prime Minister of the Transitional Period of Burkina Faso, Apollinaire Joachim Kjelem de Tambela.

The parties discussed issues of bilateral cooperation. It was noted that the country’s authorities adhere to positions close to or coinciding with Russia on issues of the global and regional agenda and advocate the formation of a more equitable world order architecture based on international law and strengthening the central role of the UN.
